MISSION
St Luke's Hospital and Network is pleased to offer a three-day conference on Wilderness Medicine at beautiful Skytop Lodge. Wilderness Medicine is the developing field that involves not only providing care to wilderness travelers, but also providing care in other austere environments, environmental emergencies and outdoor toxicology. Whether interested in exotic expedition medicine or more familiar subjects like poison ivy, our conference has something to offer. This conference is designed to educate physicians, nurses, prehospital personnel, and others on the interesting and fun topic of Wilderness Medicine.
We will have three days of interactive lectures, labs, outdoor activities and wilderness simulations on topics ranging from sunburn, to multi-trauma, to wilderness survival. With local and national expertise on emergency medicine, infectious disease, trauma care, sports medicine and outdoor skills, this conference is not to be missed.
We will provide up to 20 continuing education credits to support your physician, nursing and EMS learning needs.
Registration for the 2012 Wilderness Conference is now open. Click here to register. If you have any questions, please contact St. Luke’s InfoLink at 866-785-8537.
